    Application and ordering

Nobashi ebi shrimp are stretched, deveined shrimp tails that hold their shape during frying, which makes them well suited to tempura and other breaded or deep fried preparations in horeca and foodservice. The two available lengths (13-14 cm and 15-16 cm per piece) determine how many pieces are delivered per tray: 30 pieces for the shorter size, and 20 pieces for the longer 15-16 cm size, which is also designated 4L. Sushi ebi shrimp are intended for nigiri and other sushi preparations where the shrimp lies flat and clearly visible on the rice. The three available sizes (3L, 4L, 5L) each deliver 30 pieces per tray; the weight per tray rises from 185 g for 3L to 256 g for 5L, which means that at the same piece count per tray, a higher number indicates a larger and heavier shrimp. Both lines are relevant for sushi bars, Asian kitchens and foodservice distributors that work with fixed portion sizes. All references are delivered frozen in cartons of 20 units. Prices become visible after logging in to the webshop; buyers who do not yet have access can contact Epic for a quotation.
