OUR (HI)STORY

1970

Our story started in 1970, with Pierre Hottlet the grandfather of the company, and literal grandfather to the current CEO. Epic is born.

1986

Joining forces with their father, Olivier and Benoît Hottlet integrate the company, a true family business!

1991

Our distribution center in Kontich is inaugurated, turning the trading company out of Antwerp into the leading European importer and distributor of frozen seafood from all over the world.

1996

Epic is joined by Filip. In parallel, the first extension of our warehouse. Scaling our operations and consolidating our expertise.

2005

The second extension of our warehouse. Reaching the capacity of 4,500 pallets for continuous operation.

2023

Louis Hottlet joins the company, marking the arrival of a third generation.

2026

Epic rebrands to mark its 56th anniversary. A random date, maybe, but the perfect moment to make our next chapter Epic!
