Application and ordering

Muslitos are imitation surimi crab claws of 33 g per piece, ready to fry or briefly reheat, and are used on cold platters, appetiser assortments or as part of a seafood platter; the reference from China and the three references from India allow a horeca business or wholesaler to choose based on the available unit size (500 g, 800 g or 1 kg) rather than on any difference in taste. Churros lazo from Ibercook is the savoury, unsweetened version of the classic Spanish fried dough: 30 to 40 pieces per kg, suitable as tapas or a fried appetiser, and often combined with rabas and muslitos on the same finger food or tapas platter. Rabas are breaded squid strips, a Spanish tapas classic; Epic carries two references with a different squid content (Ibercook at 72%, MarNatura at 65%), both frozen and ready for the fryer or oven, where the higher squid content generally gives a firmer bite. Dosidicus panko squid rings are squid rings coated in panko breadcrumbs, which gives a crispier and lighter finish than a classic flour or breadcrumb coating, and they lend themselves to the same use as a starter, appetiser assortment or part of a shared snack platter. All four lines are frozen products, intended for foodservice distributors, wholesalers and horeca businesses that work with fixed portions and a long shelf life, from catering events to a permanent place on the menu.
